Rum and Curacao Sauce
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Egg yolks||2 , well beaten|
|Red food coloring||2 Drop|
1. Combine the sugar, salt and water in a saucepan and boil to a thin syrup.
2. Pour a little of the mixture over the eggs, stirring constantly. Then slowly add the egg mixture to the hot syrup, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
3. Remove from the heat and add the coloring. Mix and stir in the rum and Curacao.
4. For ice cream, puddings or cake.
