Frosted Fruit Puree With Rum Sauce
|Strawberries||1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced|
|Ripe apricots||3 , pitted and diced|
|Plums||2 Medium, pitted and diced|
|Peach||1 Medium, pitted and diced|
|Artificial sweetener||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Equal To 0.5 Cup Sugar)|
|Dietetic carbonated beverage||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Cherry Flavored)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Strawberry extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Skim milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Rum extract||2 Teaspoon|
|Almond extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Crushed ice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine fruits, half of sweetener, beverage, vanilla and strawberry extracts in blender, and puree.
Pour 1/4 of mixture into each of 4 dessert dishes.
Chill in freezer for 40-50 minutes or until mixture is half frozen, thick but mushy.
To make "Rum" Sauce, combine remaining ingredients in blender; blend until smooth.
Serve at once evenly divided over each portion of fruit puree.
