Chicken Rub

Chicken rub is an amalgamation of spices, fresh or dried, that are applied or rubbed onto the chicken in order to flavor it before cooking. The rub tends to penetrate in the meat and flavor it while cooking resulting in a piece of meat that can be enjoyed without any accompaniments or side dishes. Usage of Chicken rubs can be seen in cuisines around the world.

Types of Chicken Rub Recipes

Tandoori Chicken Rub – A type of Chicken rub from India made of ground cumin, ground coriander, red chili powder, turmeric powder, fresh ginger, fresh garlic and salt.

Barbeque Chicken Rub – A variety of Chicken rub widely used in the US that comprises of cayenne pepper, salt, cumin, black pepper, sugar and paprika.

Roast Chicken Rub – The roast chicken rub includes garlic powder, thyme, paprika, sugar, mustard, cayenne, pepper.
