  Dry yeast 1⁄4 Ounce (1 Envelope)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (125 Milliliter)
  Lukewarm water 2 Cup (32 tbs) (500 Milliliter)
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon (7 Milliliter)
  Melted shortening 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (75 Milliliter)
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  All purpose flour 4 Cup (64 tbs) (1000 Milliliter)
  Whole wheat flour 1 Cup (16 tbs) (250 Milliliter)
  Yellow corn meal 1 Cup (16 tbs) (250 Milliliter)

Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water, add salt, shortening and eggs.
Add 3 cups (750 mL) of the all purpose flour.
Beat well.
Divide into 3 parts.
Add 1 cup (250 mL) all purpose flour to the first part.
Knead until smooth on lightly floured board.
Knead whole wheat flour into second part: corn meal into third.
Place in separate greased bowls.
Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.
Punch down and let rise again.
Shape into small balls and put 3 different balls of dough in each greased muffin pan.
Cover and let rise.
Brush with salad oil.
Bake for 15 minutes at 425F (220C).
