Beef Roll

The beef roll recipe is prepared with ground sausage and round steak. Cooked in the oven with lightly cooked vegetables like celery , pepper and onions, the beef roll is tied with strings and is cooked with pan sauces.
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped green pepper 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Melted butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ground sausage 1⁄2 Pound
  Dressing mix 1 1⁄2 Ounce, prepared
  Stock/Milk / water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Round steak 4 Pound

Cook vegetables in butter until soft.
Crumble and lightly brown sausage; add to dressing mix with enough liquid to moisten well.
Spread on steaks; roll and tie with a string.
Brush with 1/2 cup melted butter; wrap in foil.
Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes at 300 degrees.
Pour sauce over roll.
Bake at 350 degrees 30 minutes uncovered.
