Cheese-Topped Pork Cutlets
Pound 1 1/2 pounds pork cutlets to flatten.
Season with salt and pepper.
Dip in beaten egg, then coat with dry bread crumbs.
Melt shortening in large skillet; brown meat over medium heat.
Pour in small amount of water.
Cover tightly; simmer 30 minutes.
Arrange cutlets in lightly oiled baking pan; sprinkle 1 package (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese on meat.
Set oven control at broil and/or 550Â°.
Broil until cheese is bubbly.
