Parker House Rolls
|Sponge||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Bread flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Melted fat||2 Tablespoon|
|Melted butter||1 Tablespoon|
To light sponge add additional ingredients except butter.
Knead on a floured board until elastic.
Let rise, about 1 hr.
When double in bulk, roll out 1/4 inch thick, cut with 2 inch biscuit cutter.
Make a crease through each with dull side of knife.
Brush over half with melted butter, fold and press edges together.
Place on a greased pan or baking sheet, cover and let rise until almost double in bulk.
Bake in a hot oven of 400Â° F. for 20 min.
