Delicious Whole Wheat Rolls
|Shortening||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Potatoes||1 Cup (16 tbs), mashed|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Whole wheat flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Flour||3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)|
Combine 1 cup hot water, shortening, 1/2 cup sugar, salt and potatoes; cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in 1/2 cup lukewarm water.
Add to potato mixture; add eggs, mixing well.
Beat in whole wheat flour until smooth.
Add enough flour to make soft dough; place in greased bowl.
Shape dough into rolls; place on baking sheet.
Let rise for 3 hours or until doubled in bulk.
Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned.
