Sourdough Rolls

Ingredients
  Dry yeast 1⁄4 Ounce (1 Package)
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Scalded milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sourdough starter 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Margarine 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), melted
  Egg 1 , well beaten
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Place yeast & 2 cups flour in large bowl, blend.
In another bowl combine 1/2 cup melted margarine, salt & sugar, then pour scalded milk over this.
Stir until sugar is dissolved, then add sourdough starter & egg, mix well.
Combine this mix with the flour mix and beat at low speed for 1 minute, then at high speed for another 3 minutes.
Add remainder of flour, and beat until batter is smooth.
Cover, set aside, and let rise until double.
Stir batter & beat by hand.
Using a large spoon, drop into greased muffin tins, then let rise again until double.
Place rolls in oven, turn oven on, set for 400 degrees, and bake for 20-25 minutes, until they are a golden brown.
Brush tops with remainder of melted margarine.
