|Butter/Regular margarine||4 Tablespoon|
|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Chopped dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Crisp rice cereal||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
|Shredded coconut||8 Ounce|
Melt butter in large saucepan.
Remove from heat.
Stir in sugar, eggs, and dates.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture leaves side of pan—about 20 minutes.
Re- move from heat.
Add rice cereal, walnuts, and vanilla; mix until well blended.
Shape into rolls about 3 inches long.
Roll in coconut.
Store in refrigerator.
Makes about 4 dozen.
