Parker House Rolls
|Flour||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Baking powder||6 Teaspoon (Royal)|
|Milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2. Sieve in flour with baking powder and salt. Mix melted shortening with milk and add to the flour mixture slowly, stirring till mixture becomes smooth. Transfer to a floured board and roll out 1.5 inch thick.
3. Using a biscuit cutter, cut the dough. Using the back of a knife, make a mark in the center of one portion, butter half side of the circle and fold the unbuttered side on top to form a crescent or semi circle.
4. Arrange the rolls at 1 inch distance from each other and allow to stand in a warm place for about 15 minutes.
5. Using melted butter, brush the rolls and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
6. Serve warm.
