Cinnamon Pinwheels

  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Tablespoon
  Shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Butter 1 , melted
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 1 Tablespoon
  Raisins 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)

Combine flour, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add milk, stirring quickly until milk is blended.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured board and knead lightly about 20 seconds.
Roll dough in a rectangular shape to 1/2 -inch thickness.
Brush with butter.
Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough.
Sprinkle with raisins.
Roll up jellyroll fashion, beginning at long side.
Cut into 1-inch slices.
Place on greased baking sheet with cut surface down.
Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.
