Morrison's Sweet Tea Rolls

Ingredients
  Irish potatoes 2 Large, boiled in 1 pint water
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 2 Teaspoon
  Butter/Lard 1 Tablespoon
  Scalded milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cake yeast 1 , dissolved in little water
  Egg 1
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Boil peeled potatoes in 1 pint water; mash all through colander.
Add salt, sugar, shortening, and scalded milk.
Let cool.
Add 1 yeast cake, dissolved.
Mix and add enough flour to make a batter.
Let rise until light.
Add the well-beaten egg and enough extra flour to make smooth soft dough.
Let rise 2 1/2 hours, or until light.
Form into little tea rolls (any desired form).
Bake about 30 minutes, in about 425-450-degree oven.
