Combine half of cream cheese and half of milk until soft.
Add parsley and onion.
Remove crusts from bread and spread 1/2 cup cheese-parsley mixture on each slice.
Cut each slice crosswise into equal halves.
Roll each half slice of bread up, jelly roll fashion.
Combine remaining cream cheese and milk until soft.
Cover the outside of each roll with a thin coating of cream cheese, then roll in chopped nutmeats.
Wrap each roll in waxed paper, twisting ends of paper.
Place on a flat surface so that roll rests on last turn of bread; chill.
