Savory Cabbage Rolls
|Cabbage head||1 Small|
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Onions||2 Medium, finely chopped|
|Tomato sauce||15 Ounce, divided|
|Cooked rice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||2 Tablespoon (packed)|
|Cider vinegar||2 Tablespoon|
Cut core from cabbage; rinse.
In medium glass bowl, cook, covered with plasticwrap, at HIGH 4 to 5 minutes.
Remove 10 leaves; cut out hard center rib from each leaf (make a V-shape cut).
Use remaining cabbage in other recipes.
Into medium bowl, crumble ground beef and combine with onions, 1/2 tomato sauce, rice, salt and pepper.
To stuff cabbage, place beef-rice filling in cabbage leaf; roll up, folding edges in.
Arrange seam-side down in 12x8-inch dish.
Blend remaining tomato sauce with brown sugar and vinegar.
Pour over rolls.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Cook at MEDIUM 28 to 30 minutes.
Let stand, covered, 5 minutes
