Leek And Ham Roll Ups
|Leeks||1 Pound, cut into 2 width ways|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Made mustard||1 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Finely grated double gloucester cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cooked ham slice||4|
1 Arrange the leeks in a 23cm/9 inch ovenproof glass pie dish.
2 Add the water, cover with plastic wrap, and pierce. Microwave on full power for 7 minutes.
3 Remove from microwave oven and set aside.
4 To make the sauce: place the butter in a 1 litre/1 3/4 pint (4 1/4 cup) jug and microwave on full power for 1 minute.
5 Stir in the flour to make a roux. Add the salt and pepper and mustard, then gradually add the milk, stirring well.
6 Microwave on full power for 3 minutes. Remove from oven and beat well. Beat in the grated cheese.
7 Drain the leeks, and roll one slice of ham around each leek.
8 Pour sauce over leeks and ham, sprinkle with Toasted Crumbs and arrange a few tomato slices on top if liked.
9 Reheat on power 7 for 5 minutes and serve immediately.
