Fast-Rising Dinner Rolls
|Dry yeast||2 Tablespoon (About 2 Packages)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Flour||6 Cup (96 tbs), scooped|
|Nonfat dry milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Warm water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Salad oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Add sugar and yeast to 1/2 cup warm water.
In large bowl or mixer, stir together flour, dry milk and salt.
Making a well in the center, add 2 cups water, yeast mixture, eggs and salad oil in that order.
Stir until well mixed, adding more flour, if needed, to make a soft dough.
Cover; allow to rise in warm place until double, about 1 hour.
Turn out onto lightly floured board and knead a few times.
Divide dough into half and roll each half into a circle.
Cut into quarters and divide each quarter into 4 pie-shaped pieces (16 total).
Roll into crescents and place on greased cookie sheet.
Allow to rise 20-60 minutes, depending on air temperature, until double in size.
Bake for 10-12 minutes at 400Â°, until golden brown.
Dough may be used for cinnamon or other kinds of rolls.
