Vegetable Rice

Vegetable rice has its roots in the Indian cuisine and is popularly known as vegetable pulao or just pulao. It is generally prepared from long grained rice or basmati rice and is a charmingly fresh and elegant dish. Apart from the traditional mix of peas, carrots, beans and peanuts, pulao can be spruced up with cashew nuts, raisins and available seasonal vegetables. Pulao can be served with vegetable curry or a variety of meat/fish/egg curries.
