The left over crispy, crusty rice at the bottom of the pan and the left over glutinous rice may be made into appetizers and crisp chips to serve with drinks.
Break the crusty rice into pieces the size of potato chips.
The glutinous rice, being sticky, may be formed into desired shapes.
Heat a deep frying pan with oil and when it is very hot lower a few pieces of rice into it and fry till they are golden brown.
Remove and drain well.
Sprinkle with pepper and salt.
Serve either hot or cold.
