|Basmati rice||1 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked, rinsed to remove small stones or seeds|
|Water/Nonfat chicken broth / vegetable broth||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Chopped fresh parsley||1 Tablespoon|
|Black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Place rice and water or broth in a large microwave-safe casserole.
Cook on high for 20 minutes.
Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
Stir in parsley and black pepper.
