|Bell pepper||1 Medium, chopped|
|Ground beef||1⁄2 Pound|
|Rice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Tomato sauce||2 Can (20 oz)|
Fry onion and pepper in shortening until tender.
Add ground beef; cook until meat loses its pink color.
Add rice, tomato sauce, water, salt and pepper.
Cover and cook slowly for 25 minutes or until rice is tender, adding more water, if necessary.
