Dove And Wild Rice Dressing

Ingredients
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Paprika To Taste
  Dove breasts 16
  Shortening 1 Tablespoon
  Wild rice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Onion 1 Small
  Giblets 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sage 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sausage 1⁄4 Pound
  Wine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

"Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika in paper bag.
Add dove breasts; shake.
Brown in shortening.
Remove; place dove in circle in casserole.
Wash rice; add to 2 cups boiling water.
Cook, covered, until water is absorbed.
Saute onion, giblets and sage with sausage.
Add onion mixture to rice; cook for 2 min- utes.
Place rice mixture in center of dove breasts.
Combine wine and 3/4 cup water; pour over dove breasts and rice.
Cover.
Bake in 350-degree oven for about 1 hour.
