Boil 2 cups water.
Remove from fire and add 1 cup rice and salt.
Let stand for 30 minutes.
Drain and rinse rice.
Melt butter in fry pan and add rice.
Cook, stirring constantly until rice absorbs butter.
Pour into casserole.
Add broth and garlic powder.
Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for about 40 minutes.
During the last 10 minutes, fork in parsley and sprinkle almonds on top.
