Wild Rice Hot Dish

Ingredients
  Wild rice 1 Cup (16 tbs), rinsed in many waters until clean
  Ground beef 1⁄2 Pound
  Ground sausage 1⁄2 Pound
  Consomme 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Corn oil 2 Tablespoon
  Canned mushrooms 2 1⁄2 Ounce
  Thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Cook rice in consomme (water may be added if too thick.)
Saute onions, celery, parsley and mushrooms in oil.
Fry sausage and ground beef in separate pan, draining off fat.
Combine all, including thyme, salt and pepper and bake in a casserole 1 hour at 325 degrees.
May be held warm for any length of time, but should be kept moist.
