RICE WITH DRIED FRUIT
|Cooked rice||1 Pound|
|Mixed chopped fruit||1⁄2 Pound|
|Powdered cloves||1 Pinch|
|Nuts||4 Ounce, chopped|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
Saute the chopped onion in butter until, glazed and add the fruit and nuts.
Cook until onion is lightly golden.
Remove from pan, drain out the butter and stir the cloves into the mixture.
Save the butter.
Crease a casserole and put in the plain boiled rice, making a hole in the centre into which the fruit mixture is spooned.
Bake in a moderate oven for 15 minutes, then mix all together with the melted butter.
