Quick and Easy Bay Fried Rice
|Basmati rice||13 Ounce (400 Grams)|
|Vegetable ghee||3 Tablespoon|
|Onion||1 , sliced|
|Fresh bay leaves||2|
|Ginger pulp||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Garlic pulp||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Water||1 1⁄4 Pint (750 Milliliter)|
1. Wash the rice thoroughly and leave it to soak in a bowl.
2. Heat the ghee in a heavy-based saucepan, add the onion and fry until golden brown. Add the bay leaves, cloves, cardamoms and black peppercorns and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, then add the salt, ginger and garlic. Drain the rice, then add it to the pan and stir-fry for 1 minute.
3. Pour in the water and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to medium, cover the pan and cook for 15-20 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed and the rice is cooked. Leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
