Rice Medley With Vegetables
|Wild rice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Brown rice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Canned sliced mushrooms||4 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), minced|
|Instant beef bouillon granules||1 Teaspoon|
|Sweet pepper||1 Medium, coarsely chopped (Yellow Or Green)|
Run cold water over uncooked wild rice in a strainer for 1 minute, lifting rice with fingers to rinse well.
In a medium saucepan combine wild rice, water, onion, brown rice, mushrooms, garlic, and bouillon granules.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 40 minutes.
Stir in chopped pepper.
Cover and simmer about 10 minutes more or until rice is tender.
