|Canned fat free reduced sodium chicken broth||15 1⁄2 Ounce|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dry sherry||1 Tablespoon|
|Reduced sodium soy sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Dark sesame oil||1 Teaspoon|
|Hot pepper sauce||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Uncooked brown rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped green onion||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (Use Both Green And White Parts)|
|Canned water chestnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), drained and chopped|
|Sesame seeds||2 Tablespoon, lightly toasted|
1. Coat large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Heat over high heat. Add onion. Cook, stirring constantly, 3 minutes or until lightly softened.
2. Add chicken broth, water, sherry, soy sauce, sesame oil, and hot sauce. Bring to boil. Stir in rice. Cover. Reduce heat. Simmer 45 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
3. Remove from heat. Stir in green onion and water chestnuts. Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds. Garnish with green onion strips, if desired.
