Hint Of Spice Rice
|Canned low sodium chicken broth||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (Undiluted)|
|Long grain brown rice||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (Uncooked)|
|Grated orange rind||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Orange||1 Medium, peeled and sectioned|
|Sliced almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), toasted|
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
2. Gently stir in orange sections and almonds.
