Traditional Curried Rice

Ingredients
  Butter 1 Ounce (2 Tablespoon, 25 Gram)
  Onion 1 , chopped
  Long grain rice 8 Ounce (1 Good Cup, 225 Gram)
  Boiling water 1 Pint (2 1/2 Cup, 575 Milliliter)
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Turmeric 1 Teaspoon
  Pineapple slice 2 , chopped
  Golden raisins 2 Ounce (1/3 Cup, 50 Gram Sultanas)
  Dry roasted peanuts 2 Ounce (1/3 Cup, 50 Gram Peanuts)
  Garam masala 1 Pinch
  Desiccated coconut 30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoon)
Directions

Put the butter in a pot and cook for 30 seconds. Add the onion, cover and cook for 3 minutes.
Stir in the rice, pour over the boiling water and add the salt and turmeric. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
Stir in the pineapple, sultanas (golden raisins) and peanuts. Stir in the garam masala and leave, covered, for 5 minutes.
Stir in the desiccated (shredded) coconut.
