Aromatic Rice With Peas

Ingredients
  Rice 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Shelled peas 3 Ounce (85 Gram)
  Cardamom pods 2
  Black cumin seeds 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon stick 1
  Black peppercorns 4
  Fresh bay leaf 1
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Rinse the rice thoroughly and gently until the water runs clear.
2. Pour 3 cups of water into a large saucepan and add the whole spices, followed by the salt. Place the saucepan over a high heat and when the water begins to boil, lower the heat and throw in the rice and peas. Cover the pan with a lid and cook over a medium heat for 12-15 minutes, or until all the water has been absorbed and the rice is cooked.
3. Let the rice stand off the heat, covered, for 5 minutes.
