Low Fat Not Fried Rice
|Pam spray||1 Tablespoon|
|Finely chopped onion||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Liquid butter buds/Fat free chicken broth||1 Teaspoon|
|Canned fat free chicken broth||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sherry/Cooking sherry||1 Tablespoon|
|Reduced-sodium soy sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Tabasco sauce||4 Drop|
|Uncooked long grain converted rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Diagonally sliced green onions||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Toasted pine nuts||1 Tablespoon|
Coat a medium saucepan with non-fat cooking spray.
Place over medium heat until hot.
Add onion, and saute in Liquid Butter Buds, or chicken broth, about 2 minutes.
Add 2 cups chicken broth and next 3 ingredients; bring to a boil.
Stir in rice, cover, reduce heat, and simmer 25 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat and stir in green onions and pine nuts.
