Speedy Beef And Vegetable Fried Rice
|Lean ground beef||1 Pound|
|Green onions||3 , chopped|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Minced ginger root/1/2 teaspoon/2 milliliters ground ginger||2 Teaspoon|
|Cooked rice||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Preferably Basmati)|
|Frozen oriental mixed vegetables||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Soya sauce||3 Tablespoon|
1. In a large nonstick skillet over high heat, cook beef, breaking up with a wooden spoon, for 5 minutes or until no longer pink. Add green onions, garlic and ginger; cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Stir in rice; cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.
2. Add vegetables and soya sauce. Reduce heat to medium, cover and cook, stirring occasionally (adding 2 tbsp [25 mL] water if necessary to prevent from sticking), for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
