Baked Spare Ribs With Rice

Ingredients
  Spareribs 2 1⁄2 Pound
  Butter 1 Teaspoon (for greasing)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground pepper To Taste
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Burgundy wine 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Crushed pineapple with juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Hot cooked rice 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Directions

Have spareribs cut into serving-size sections.
Arrange meaty side up in a large shallow baking pan.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake in a 350° F.oven for 1 hour.
Mean while mix cornstarch with sugar in a small saucepan.
Add wine, pineapple and soy sauce and bring to a boil, stirring.
Spoon rice into a shallow buttered casserole.
Arrange spareribs on top.
Spoon half of sauce over spareribs and rice.
Continue baking 15 minutes.
Spoon over remaining sauce and bake 15 minutes longer.
