Nutty Brown Rice Stuffing
|Brown rice||12 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Chicken flavor bouillon cubes||2 (Or Envelopes)|
|Celery stalks||3 Large, sliced|
|Onions||2 Large, diced|
|Canned walnuts||8 Ounce, toasted, chopped (1 Can)|
|Rubbed sage||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1. In 3-quart saucepan, prepare brown rice as label directs, adding bouillon.
2. In 12-inch skillet or 5-quart Dutch oven over medium heat, in hot butter or margarine, cook celery and onions until tender, stirring occasionally. Remove skillet from heat; stir in toasted walnuts, sage, pepper, and cooked rice. Use to stuff 12- to 16-pound turkey. Or spoon stuffing into 13" by 9" baking dish; cover and bake in preheated 325°F. oven 45 minutes or until heated through.
