Eight Jewel Rice
|Peanut oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Chopped spring onion||6 Teaspoon (3 Dessertspoons)|
|Cooked lean pork||2 Tablespoon, diced|
|Diced cooked chicken||1 Tablespoon|
|Shelled cooked prawns||2 Tablespoon|
|Cooked rice||6 Ounce|
|Cooked peas||1 Tablespoon|
|Monosodium glutamate||1 Pinch (Ve-Tsin)|
|Soy sauce||1 Teaspoon|
Make the oil very hot.
Fry 2 dessertspoons of onion in it for 1/4 minute, tossing it about.
Add the meats and prawns and give them 1 minute.
Add the rice and heat through for 2-3 minutes, moving it about to break down any lumps.
Break in the egg and mix it in thoroughly but lightly (the rice must not be made mushy) for 1/2-1 minute.
Add the peas, seasonings and soy sauce and heat through, stirring to mix well.
Finally, add the remaining finely chopped spring onion.
