|Vinegar/Fresh lemon juice||1 Teaspoon|
Wash the rice, put it in a pan, and add water to 3 inches above the rice.
Add the vinegar or lemon juice and salt.
Boil rapidly until soft about 20 minutes.
The way to tell whether the rice is done is to take out a single grain with a spoon and mash it between the thumb and forefinger.
When the rice mashes so that the hard core can no longer be felt, it is cooked.
When it is done, drain it in a colander.
Place the colander over a pot of hot water on the stove to keep warm.
