Stewed Sweet And Sour Spare Ribs

  Spareribs 2 Pound
  Garlic cloves 2 Small, minced
  Brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Soy sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Canned pineapple chunks 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon

Cut spareribs in 1 1/2 inch squares.
Combine all ingredients except pineapple and corn-starch.
Cook 1 hour.
Set aside for a few minutes.
Pour off excess fat.
Place meat in a separate bowl.
Heat liquid.
Add pineapple juice to liquid.
Bring to a boil.
Thicken gravy with cornstarch.
Cook until thick.
Pour sauce over spareribs.
Arrange pineapple chunks on top.
Serve hot.
Yield: 4 servings.
Note: Do not add salt.
The soy sauce makes the meat salty enough.
