Broiled Short Ribs
|Beef short ribs||4 Pound|
|Catsup||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Light molasses||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dry mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Chili powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1 Dash|
Trim fat from ribs.
Sprinkle with some salt and pepper.
Place ribs in Dutch oven; add water to cover.
Simmer, covered, till meat is tender, about 2 hours.
Drain; place ribs on rack of broiler pan.
Blend catsup, molasses, lemon juice, dry mustard, chili powder, and garlic powder; brush some over ribs.
Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 10 to 15 minutes; turn often, basting with sauce.
