Oven Smoked Baby Back Ribs with Jack Daniel's Sauce

Ingredients

Baby back ribs 1 Pound (((2)))
Yellow mustard 2 Tablespoon (((as needed)))
Rub 2 Tablespoon (((use any kind of rub you like)))
Brown sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Coca cola 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
For sauce
Jack daniels 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Mustard seeds 2 Teaspoon
Coriander seeds 2 Teaspoon
Bay leaf 1 , crush
Celery seeds 2 Teaspoon
Kosher salt 2 Teaspoon
Crushed red pepper 1 Pinch
Ground black pepper To Taste
Apple cider vinegar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Ketchup 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Agave nectar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Peel the membrane of ribs. Season it with mustard and rub.

2. Place cedar plank in the top rack of broiler with smooth side down. Preheat until the plank becomes charred. Flip and repeat for the other side.

3. In a roasting pan place the plank. Preheat oven to 275 degree F.

MAKING

4. Place the rib on plank, cover it with foil and let it smoke for about 2 hours.

5. Meanwhile, for sauce, place a pot on heat, add Jack Daniels, mustard seed, coriander seed, and bay leaf in it.

6. Add celery seed, kosher salt, crushed red pepper, black pepper, and apple cider vinegar. Stir well. Allow it to simmer and reduce by half.

7. Drop ketchup, and agave nectar. Give it a good stir. Allow it to simmer until thick.

8. Remove the roasting pan from oven. On a piece of foil, transfer the rib. Sprinkle brown sugar and drizzle coca cola on both sides of rib. Wrap and repeat for the other piece of rib.

9. Place the ribs back into the middle rack of oven. In the bottom rack place the roasting pan with the plank in it. Turn the oven to 300 degree and cook for another 20-30 minutes.

10. Transfer ribs back into the roasting on plank. Baste it with sauce.

11. Put it back in the middle rack of oven and cook uncovered for 15 minutes or until done. Let it rest for a few minutes.

SERVING

12. Cut into pieces and serve smoked baby back ribs hot.
