|Cider vinegar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Dark corn syrup||2 Tablespoon|
|Onion soup mix envelope||1|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Chili powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
Place spareribs in broiler pan without rack.
Bake in 450-degree oven for 30 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350 degrees; continue cooking ribs for 30 minutes longer.
Combine catsup, vinegar, corn syrup, soup mix, gar- lic, chili powder and pepper in quart jar.
Add 11/4 cups hot water.
Cover, shake well.
Remove spareribs from oven; drain off fat.
Pour sauce over ribs.
Bake, basting occasionally, for 35 minutes or until ribs are tender and brown and sauce is thickened.
