Cut ribs in serving-size pieces.
Arrange in 12 X 7 1/2 X 2-inch baking dish; add beer, onion, 1 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper.
Micro-cook, covered, 20 minutes, rearranging ribs after 10 minutes.
Transfer ribs to barbecue grill.
Grill over medium coals 10 minutes.
Brush sauce over ribs.
Grill 5 minutes more; brush with sauce and turn ribs over occasionally.
