Sweet And Sour Spareribs

  Meaty pork spareribs 3 Pound
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Lemon juice 3 Tablespoon
  Strained apricots/Apricots-and-applesauce /pears 7 1⁄2 Ounce (1 small jar)
  Molasses 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Dark corn syrup 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Hot pepper sauce 1 Dash
  Chili sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), pressed (small clove)
  Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Dry mustard 1⁄2 Teaspoon

Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper.
Broil 3 to 5 minutes per side.
Place in 9 x l3-inch baking dish.
For sauce: Mix all ingredients in 1-quart pan.
Heat briefly on medium-low, stirring until combined.
Reduce oven to 350°F.
Pour half the sauce over ribs and bake uncovered 30 minutes.
Pour remaining sauce over spareribs and continue baking for another 30 minutes.
