Spicy Short Ribs

|Beef short ribs||3 Pound|
|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Canned condensed beef broth||10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Dried apricots||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground cloves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground allspice||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Dust ribs with flour; brown in shortening in large heavy pan.
Pour off excess drippings.
Combine remaining ingredients; pour over ribs.
Cover; cook over low heat 2 1/2 hours or until ribs are tender; turn ribs and baste with sauce often.
