This was one of the Tasty items that Myself and CookingMyWay tried at the Florida Show !!! I like to try things that I haven't before and wow Gator meat is good !!!
Alligator meat has a very mild taste and readily adapts to recipes for pork, veal, chicken and most seafood. Choice cuts of meat, primarily the tail and jaw, can be used in any recipe. The body and leg meat, with just a little preparation and special recipes, can be just as tasty. The meat has a fine, light-grained texture that appeals to most people and has its own unique flavor that is easily enhanced with seasonings and sauces
All American Gator Products operates a fully licensed, inspected and insured alligator processing facility located in beautiful Pembroke Park, Florida. We are also in full compliance with the Florida Department of Agriculture's HACCP certification for Alligator Processors.
All of our alligator meat products are flash frozen for convenience and to extend self life. Handle the meat as you would any other frozen product; mark the product with the date of purchase and make sure it is tightly wrapped to prevent freezer burn. We recommend that you keep your alligator meat in the freezer for up to four months and thaw it over night in the refrigerator.
