Raspberry Crowned Yams

Ingredients
  Yams 8 Medium, cooked and peeled
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened
  Lightly packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Frozen raspberries 10 Ounce, thawed (1 Package, Undrained)
Directions

Cut yams lengthwise into halves.
Place in a shallow baking pan.
Cream butter with brown sugar.
Sprinkle cut surfaces of yams with salt, then spread with creamed mixture.
Top each half with a spoonful of raspberries and syrup.
Heat in a 350°F oven about 20 minutes.
