Spicy Raisin Squares
|Butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), melted|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted|
|Crushed pineapple||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), drained|
|Seedless raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Light cream||2 Tablespoon|
Beat egg and sugar together.
Stir in butter.
Sift flour with spices, salt and soda and stir into egg mixture.
Mix in pineapple and raisins.
Turn into a greased baking pan about 11 by 7 by 1 1/2 inches.
Smooth top with a spatula.
Combine 1/4 cup sugar and cream.
Pour over top of dough in pan.
Bake in a hot oven (400° F) 20 to 25 minutes.
Cut in squares and serve hot.
