|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Grated sharp cheese||1⁄4 Pound (1 Cup)|
|Tomatoes||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), pureed (Canned Or Fresh)|
|Buttered toast slices||5|
|Pan broiled bacon slices||5|
Melt butter in top of double boiler over boiling water.
Blend in flour and stir constantly while adding milk, then continue to stir until sauce thickens.
Stir in grated cheese, sugar, salt, cover and allow cheese to melt, stirring occasionally.
Add pureed tomatoes gradually, stirring to mix well.
Serve immediately on hot buttered toast.
Garnish with crisp bacon.
