Crock Pot Rabbit

Ingredients
  Onions 2 Medium
  Cloves 6
  Minced parsley 1 Teaspoon
  Powdered thyme 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Marjoram powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Lemon peel 1 Teaspoon, grated
  Rabbit 1 , cut into serving pieces
  Bacon 1⁄4 Pound
  Lemon juice 3 Tablespoon
  Dry white wine 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chicken broth 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Stick 3 cloves in each onion.
Mix all seasonings together.
Salt and pepper pieces of rabbit and saute in margarine for 20 minutes.
Line bottom of crock pot with bacon strips, then add sauteed rabbit.
Sprinkle with seasonings.
Place one onion near bottom of pot and one near the top.
Add lemon juice, wine and broth.
Cover with lid and cook slowly 4 to 5 hours.
Skim fat, strain and thicken with flour mixed with a small amount of water.
