|Unbaked 10-in. pastry shell||1|
|Onion||1 Small, thinly sliced|
|Light cream||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Dry mustard||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ham||1⁄2 Pound, cut into thin strips|
|Swiss cheese||1⁄4 Pound, grated|
"Place pastry shell in freezer until well chilled.
Cook bacon until crisp; drain on paper towel.
Cook onion in bacon drippings until transparent; drain.
Beat eggs, cream, mustard, basil and salt until well blended.
Crumble bacon; mix in onion.
Sprinkle in pastry shell; add half the ham and half the cheese.
Add remaining ham; top with cheese.
Pour egg mix- ture over all.
Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees.
Bake for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.."
